Following a directive from the Calcutta High Court, Gautam Pal, Chairman of the Primary Education Board, underwent extensive interrogation by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials until midnight. The high court order, issued on Wednesday, required Gautam Pal to arrive at the CBI office by 6 pm, a deadline he managed to meet by reaching Nizam Palace seven minutes earlier
After approximately five hours of questioning, Gautam Pal exited the premises at around 11 pm. Despite his departure, CBI officials continued their interrogation late into the night. Prior to entering the CBI office, Pal refrained from responding to journalists' inquiries and, upon leaving, expressed compliance with the court's order, stating that he had provided the CBI officers with the information they sought.
Gautam Pal's arrival at Nizam Palace occurred at 5:53 pm, and he discreetly entered the CBI office without engaging with the press. While the nature of the interrogation remains undisclosed, his prompt compliance with the court's directive underscores the legal process's role in such investigations.
